carburetor base gasket

we have been held up on driving the 68 because Of the base gasket for the carb is a 67-69 only. finally got one in need two for that car one on either side of the plate. it finally arrived and yesterday we got to drive the car around for a bit. man that thing gos good. the high compression engine has so much more power then the 70s version. it's unbelievable. all most as good as the Oldsmobile is. put it in the shop to get a new muffler and tailpipe on it so we don't blubber. just for reference here is the base gasket for those of you that have one of these cars.

That is the gasket that is about 1/4 inch thick?

no this one is about 1/16. then there is a metal plate that goes on top then one more gasket making it right at 1/4 inch when your done. the asbestos gasket is no longer around. they kept getting the one for the 70 and up which does not have the bulge you see on the lower left. in the pictures. i had ordered this set from USA parts. a re boxed felpro. but the right one. if a man has the number he can at least order the right one
