1948 chrysler windsor sedambulance

DUE TO HEALTH REASONS I AM RELUCTANTLY GOING TO SELL MY 1948 CHRYSLER WINDSOR SEDAMBULANCE. THERE WERE PICTURES AND INFO POSTED ON IT IN JUNE. IT WAS BOUGHT NEW BY SMITH AND SON FUNERAL HOME IN FOUNTAIN CITY, INDIANA AND THEY TOOK IT OUT OF SERVICE IN 1959 WHEN IT QUIT RUNNING AND WAS STORED IN A GARAGE AT THE FUNERAL HOME UNTIL 1976 WHEN IT WAS AGAIN MADE ROAD WORTHY (THE DISTRIBUTOR WIRE HAD SHORTED OUT WAS THE REASON IT QUIT RUNNING IN 1959.) IT WAS DROVE IN A PARADE IN 1976 AND THEN PUT BACK IN THE FUNERAL HOME GARAGE. IT HAS BEEN GARAGED EVER SINCE. IT IS AN ORIGINAL UNTOUCHED SURVIVOR WITH DOCUMENTED 48000 ORIGINAL MILES. THE BODY HAS SOME BLEMISHES BUT I COULDN`T TALK MYSELF INTO FIXING ANY PLACES ON IT BECAUSE AS THEY SAY IT IS ONLY ORIGINAL ONCE. IT IS VERY PRESENTABLE THE WAY IT IS. FOR MORE INFORMATION YOU CAN CALL ME AT 812-279-9125 OR E-MAIL AT mammielyons@sbcglobal.net WILL SEND PICTURES TO YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS. I HAVE THE ORIGINAL SINGLE DRIVERS SEAT AND GURNEY THAT CAME WITH THE SEDAMBULANCE CONVERSION. I AM ASKING $12,000.00

Sorry to hear you're unable to keep the car, Gary. It's just beautiful, but if it's of any consolation, I think you will find a good home for it here.

Your original post about the car.

Adam,
that`s why i put it on professional car society before advertising anywhere else. I really want it to go to someone who understands what it is and how rare it is and will appreciate and preserve it. Thanks,
gary
