1940 Flxible Buick hearse

Not a CL ad, but had to share this one. I only know of one other similarly designed Flxible Buick that survived. And if you're wondering about the currency exchange, USD and AUD are about the same.

I sent this along to Tom McPherson who had already been contacted by Adam. He tells me that this is a 1940 Flxible-Buick Classic AA carved panel funeral car. In addition, he says that "there were only 7 Buick-chassied Classic A models sold in 1940 along with an additional 8 Classic AA models. The majority of these 1940 carved Flxible-Buicks were Premier models and were based on the Buick Series 60 (Century) chassis. The photo they used shows a 1939 Classic A but, the car is a 1940 and appears to be a Classic AA. A similar car is illustrated on page 45 of the Carved Panel Hearses book Walt and I did last year". He also said if we could get the data from the Flxible serial plate, we could identify the original owner.
