New ProCars

Just saw a photo of the next Cadillac. It was good-looking but does not seem "formal" to me, in the same way that upper-price sedans used to. I guess the whole idea of "formal" has changed. Years ago Mama had to have a living room and dining room, with her "good" furniture, china, silver, et al. Same with formal clothing, and even manners. the common folk don't seem to try to emulate the formal styles nearly as much. These modern cars don't look like a coach or limo to me. I guess I"l get used to them, though. I was impressed with the front of the Cadillac through 1976 as being very formal and proud. Even the Mercedes and Rolls-Royce have almost abandoned their grilles.
