Did you forget to tell him to never, ever, ever close the rear side doors with the windows rolled down??
It was actually the front door, passenger side. He had it partway rolled down, and it was a little out of track, and he slammed the door. At least it's flat, laminated glass.

this is the first time I have ever heard this one. I must confess I have been guilty of this blasphemy on all most a daily occurrence. except for the left center door on the Seville it's fixed. there is no need to slam a working door. but it does now run about 200 bucks a door to replace the run channels and seal strips to prevent this.
 
Typically it happens when someone is riding "shotgun" who is not familiar with the car. The doors are heavy, so their instinct is to slam the door when closing it.
