I a note from Jim Harris today with some more papers he had found for the 75 Stageway. glad to hear he found a owner for his 66. the neatest thing was reading the corresponding between the dealership and the company. I remember when you could order a car. the car was ordered in July of 74 and built in Jan of 75. you can see were they tried to talk them out of getting the 7 passenger car. it was there come on low priced that was to attract people in . no one was to buy one. as the car the way they built it cost them more then a 6 door would to construct. here are some scans for you people that enjoy correspondence. nice part of scans is you get to make them all the same size

Seems like it would have been easier to just start with a Granville! I cannot believe that they built more than 1 of these in a 4-door configuration!

From the conversations neather could they.this one is a 6 door with the rear door welded shut and the bench seat replaced with the fold and tumble ones.

Less doors, more work to make it, and cost less! Great marketing concept to make a sale.

Would have been easier, less labor intensive and less costly to have started the conversion with a coupe rather than a sedan. That would also have given the end result a more traditional appearance as well as easier entry and exit for rear seat passengers through wider back doors.

The center doors would have been a problem using a co-op body.just thing of that glass sticking up in the air with no frame work around it. I will say this is one of the best riding cars I. Have had. It is every bit as nice as the 92 6 door brougham. Vary responsive in the secondary road thing and fun to drive. In the hills.

I had a 76 Stageway six door Cadillac for a short time great to look at my 450 Ford Rollback drove better. You did not drive it you aimed it. It rolled wallowed etc. Checked suspention shocks sway bars all OK just a big pig. The current 96 S&S six door is a dream. Went back and forth to Gberg twice for the meet 300 miles round trip `19,8 mpg three hours for 150 miles trip. Car is a pleasure to drive.Have a 75 Grandville convertible it drives good glad your limo is like it .
