Back in the mid '80's, I owned a '75 Criterion for about 3 years. I took it to the PCS National Meet in Tulsa, OK in '86 or '87, while still living in Winnipeg, MB.
The original purchaser was Kneehill Ambulance, in Three Hills, Alberta, CN. It was sold through Howard Distributors in Burnaby, BC, the Canadian distributor for Wayne Corp. products. Date of delivery to Howard Distributors was 2/27/76, date of delivery to customer was 3/5/76.
VIN was 6Z90S5Q263750, Body No. was 75568
Paint upper was Cotillion White #11, center Flamenco Red #48 1967 Cadillac, lower Cotillion White #11. Upholstery - Cordovan vinyl, white vinyl headlining, black vinyl bucket seats. Floor - brick block lino.
Value at US port of export in MT was listed on the Shipper's export declaration as $17,925.01.(US) Price F.O.B. at Howard Dist. was $30,330.00 CN w/o inverter.
The car received right front fender and suspension damage in an accident in Red Deer, Alberta on 11/2/85. It was written off and the insurance carrier paid $2,500.00 for the loss. It was acquired from the insurance co. by an individual who repaired it and sold it to me. I operated it for the next 3 years as a standby ambulance at Winnipeg Speedway and at various motocross events around the province. When I moved to So. Cal. in late '89, I sold it to the motocross association in Manitoba. It's history beyond that has been documented elsewhere on this board years ago, but I believe it ended up in NY or PA. It was brought back into Canada a few years ago by Doug House in BC, and as far as I know his plans were to restore it, but I have not seen any posts from him in a few years now.
Photos can probably be found somewhere on the original "classy Cadillacs" thread, as I am unable to post photos.
