the topic comes up now and then about whats the big deal in having the original part. will i need good lenses for the 53. I had not bought any whiting to see if I was going to be able to get a set of bezels or not. the ones I have are cracked. so now that we have the bezel we need lens. found a set on e-bay 49 to 52 car is what we are looking for as that is what they used in the wagon ad sedan delivery. they came in today. discovered that we are still looking for a set. a set that match that is. neater one of these are GM both aftermarket adn as you can see just a hair different from each other.

What aftermarket brands do you have there Ed? Do you know?

I have two gem guide with a 51 date with heat cracks in them one other with a big chip. one stimsonite one glow brite and one that is just numbered. the problem is matching up the reflectors. they have a notch cut out to set the lines in the housing that last set have them all around the lens the other 4 just one on the bottom.
