beacon light maintenance

Anybody know if smaller beacons like the Federal Beacon Ray Junior and Whelen Rota Beams can be opened up and lubricated to make them run smooth? What kind of lubricant and where to apply it? These are the kind with the bulb in the middle and small magnifying glasses rotate around it.
Thanks...

a little light grease on the gears and get the cobwebs out always helps. they all can be taken apart rather easily. but like any watch you need to pay attention to were the parts go. the older motors may have had a oil hole but the newer ones you can only put a drip or two agents the front shaft. me I love that slick 50 spray lube. others have there preference. I also have found that the molie grease used spearingly stays well and is not stiff.
