Here are some hand drawn diagrams showing the correct way to have your landau bars positioned on your hearse or combo.
I drew the passenger and driver sides with the correct positions for each
and also the 3 possible errors for each side.
It is not only for S/S Hearses but also other builders like Miller Meteor, Eureka and Miller.
I provided photos of cars found in the pages of this website for reference of the correct positions.
I will also provide some INCORRECT photos as an example of how they can be installed in error.
I hope this helps anyone who doesn't realize there is a proper way they should be installed on each side.
As with anything, the proper way is best !

P.S. There are many other styles of landau bars that are straight and without a dropped ball in the center. This is for landau bars with a dropped ball.
