Proper positioning of landau bars

Here are some hand drawn diagrams showing the correct way to have your landau bars positioned on your hearse or combo.

I drew the passenger and driver sides with the correct positions for each
and also the 3 possible errors for each side.

It is not only for S/S Hearses but also other builders like Miller Meteor, Eureka and Miller.
I provided photos of cars found in the pages of this website for reference of the correct positions.

I will also provide some INCORRECT photos as an example of how they can be installed in error.

I hope this helps anyone who doesn't realize there is a proper way they should be installed on each side.

As with anything, the proper way is best !

Darren

P.S. There are many other styles of landau bars that are straight and without a dropped ball in the center. This is for landau bars with a dropped ball.

First hearse photo: Eureka
Second hearse photo: Miller
Third hearse photo: S/S
Forth hearse photo: Miller Meteor

Here are two examples of INCORRECT positioning.

First is a MM - wrong side / needs to be walked around behind the car and installed on the other side.

Second is a S/S - right side, wrong position / needs a 180 degree turn
