1969 station wagon conversion ambulance

Yup, that Demers is owned by a movie prop company near Montreal. It was originally red and white, I planned to buy it around 2001 and I missed the sale, the prop car company got it; but was painted all white to match other police cars in the film L'instinct de Mort, the life of Jacques Mesrine. For the shooting : Window decals are those used for Montreal PD ambulances back in 1960's, not the typical Demers red drop. Last time I saw it the car was in poor shape and I notice it still have its Dietz beacon and interior equipment missing. This is the only Demers Station wagon ambulance survivor I know.

As with any collectable it is sad to see something fall into hands that do not appreciate it for its history and allow it to slowly wither away. It would have been a unique save.
