It's cool seeing the photos posted here (and it's always good to catch a CL listing before it expires and disappears forever).

Here are a couple of patents relating ot the body design:

Steve

I would buy the 60 Buick you have to provide cash and a spot to keep it in !

A nice car going to a nice guy and a rare piece of history being saved and restored by a great guy who should have this ambulance !

Sounds great to me ! Plus I will finally have some lights and siren to play with !

Waddayathink ?
Darren

Darren... I think that you better get in line, instead of jumping to the head of the line. There are a number of people that have expressed interest in purchasing the Buick ambulance if and when Steve decides to sell it. I am one of those people. Who wiill get the first offer is up to Steve...

I've been following this ambulance, and every time that the craigslist ad expired, it was renewed. Yesterday I went to read the ad again, and I got a "listing deleted by poster" message. Anyone know what became of this car?

I'm guessing it's still there. Even with it's rarity, it needs to be a little more realistically priced to interest most people and those will have to have DEEP pockets. It's in a litlle CA town called Techacapi off SR-58 between Mojave and Bakersfield mostly known for a large prison and cement plant. I'll do a 5 minute "drive by" the next time I pass thru. MM

Thumbs up just do it

ok, lets see, free oil changes, free air in tires, free storage(or 2 years to restore) wow! 12500 to buy, 50k+ to restore. 1000+ to transport to mr. renstrom free gas when visiting other members. asked the wife what she thought and got the correct answer for me. ARE YOU NUTS AGAIN. (as she said, im the one who just had brain surgery but i beleive your the one who lost his mind) guess that leaves me out but ill donate free tune ups when someone buys it and comes to visit me down here in texas. so free maintenance, gas and the admiration of one very jealous man. hell, ill even throw in free room and board when you bring it to me for tune ups. how can you beat that!!!
