lever it out in the location you want it with a door stop. then tape a marker to a block of some sort that you can move around it flat on the roof. mark you skirt that way then a decent pair of tin snips is all you need. to cut it so it sits level on the roof.

Run a band of painters tape on the skirt for marking. Makes it easier to see the line to cut on. Measure twice, and cut once. Make sure that the badge is facing exactly where you want it to be after you make the cut.
