The August 2012 issue of Hemmings "Classic Car" features a story writen by Jim Donnelly. Mr. Donnelly recalls the life of an old time news reporter who drove a hearse as his primary mode of transportation. As part of the story he writes glowingly about the PCS with this comment: "Many of you Hemmings Nation citizens likely know of the Professional Car Society, a group devoted to the preservation of restored hearses from the past, as well as flower cars, limousines and other such vehicles used on solemn occasions. Their members own uniformly beautiful vehicles in gradients of gleaming black, gray and silver." The photo shown as part of the story is credited from the archives of Walter M. P. McCall.
