Default The UP Funeral Train

Last Presidential Funeral Train was for Eisenhower.

4141 was built to become a Museum Piece in UP's Museum.

She is coming to Texas to carry the man she's named for to rest at his Library.

4141 is the only locomotive named for a President to have been driven by her namesake. George and of course Barbra took her out for a spin when they came to look at 4141 after leaving the White House.

The UP museum is here in Council Bluffs, IA. There are no locomotives housed at the UP museum. The UP museum is located in our old Carnegie library. There are historic rail cars stored here in C.B. at a small UP rail yard that is not open to the public. It is less than a mile from my home. My understanding is that 4141 is a working locomotive.

Council Bluffs, IA was the furthest west Abraham Lincoln ever traveled in his lifetime. The Lincoln Monument, here in Council Bluffs, is located about 2 blocks from our home. Lincoln designated Council Bluffs, IA to be the Eastern terminus of the, yet to be built, Union Pacific Railroad.
