This was forwarded to me by a friend. I have no knowledge of this car other than what you see in the listing.

58 Cadillac hearse - $6900
58 Cadillac hearse/ambulance combo made by superior. I found this car in a man's barn. He bought it from a local funeral home and had it painted blue. It runs and drives but has NO BREAKS. I have a $400 break kit still in box that will go with sale. Also will throw in a 1960's cot and I have original hub caps for car. It is not rusted out, just surface rust and weathered. Had plans to restore it and use for funerals but don't have the time or means to do so. I have the title. Contact me at call or text:

A 1958 Superior-Cadillac landau combination car - Model 604C. You don't see many of these any more - especially in restorable condition. Gotta love that two-tone color combination.

Wow! I sure hope that this one ends up in the hands of someone that will get it inside and properly restore it. I am not a huge fan of landau combinations(prefer limo style), but definitely a "rare bird" anymore! Looks to be extremely straight and solid.

yes all the big thing are there and the rare body style. one can't tell how good the interior is. but a worthy project. if one is interested you could make the offer

Certainly is a rare piece in decent shape as well. Looks like something you should have, Ed. I don't know of anyone who could bring this back to its glory as well as you.

It would have to be easier than restoring that '58 Eureka Ed! Looks to have been black/back originally.

..........and it's a suicide door Superior too, which is somewhat novel for a combo!

so that say but every superior combo I have worked on had them. no room at the inn and I'm working on one right now.

Matt Mahutga has a '63 Superior straight end-loader with suicide doors, which is really unusual.

Darren,
That is not correct. Superior would build them which ever way the buyer chose as you will see in flipping through Tom McPherson's book on Superior Coach.
