Re: American LaFrance fire truck w/ air brakes....the brake lights don't come on. The bulbs are fine; the directionals are fine. Trying to get a look at the brake mechanism from under the truck is tough as the steering mechanism is huge do to the front wheels being behind the driver.
Any suggestions on where the wires come out of??????
Thanks!

Cant speak for these, but the old cars have the brake light wires and switch coming out of the master cylinder, and go out fairly regular. Worth a check

on that it would be most lily a trip switch that the pedal would work a leaver on. so state inside and go to the out it would be mounted were it could be tripped by the heavy iron

I have not worked on anything with air brakes past the 70,s .But all of them had a switch like the pic below somewhere in a application line usually under the dash. The switch activates with air pressure same idea as using hydraulic pressure on some cars.
