Pontiac hearse spotting

I took these photos of this hearse at the Barrie Automotive Flea Market a couple days ago.

I had the opportunity to buy this car about 4 years ago but passed on it.
No regrets there.

Still in the same area and the guy seems quite happy with it.

Neat car,
Darren

That's a beauty! I would definitely have jumped on that one. If it ever comes up for sale again and you want to drive it to Chicago, let me know ;-)

Steve

It is a 1963 Superior Pontiac Bonneville Endloader Hearse

Blue interior is the reason I passed on it.

A funeral director Digger knew owned it and we went to look at it a few years ago. I liked the outside look of it but the blue interior didn't do it for me.

I already had a Cadillac with a blue interior and ended up selling that car too.

I dig... black,grey,green,burgundy,white,red interiors.

Blue or the gold one I owned, didn't really grab me.

Well... today I heard... this car is for sale !

He wants about 10,000 Cdn (about 9,000 US)

I think it is priced a little high but that's me.

Anyway, if anyone is interested in owning it, I can get more details.

I know it drove from Canada to Florida and back without any issues !
That says something for sure.

Let me know,
Darren

It's a 1963 Superior-Pontiac Consort...............the SWB Consort was introduced in mid-1961 And discontinued at the end of the 1973 model year. The majority of them were combinations.

Walt's right. Of the 205 Pontiac Consorts Superior delivered in 1963, only 13 were straight funeral cars. There were 123 Consort combination cars and 69 Consort ambulances built in 1963. These statistics would indicate that a survivor of this service configuration (landau straight funeral coach) and in this condition would be a fairly item.

Richard

I don't have it yet but I am looking for it.

I heard through a funeral director it was for sale.

I should have the contact info for you soon.

Darren

If only it was red and white, with bullett lenses on top and medical cabinet in the back.

My requests aside, I hope someone in the PCS is able to get her. Looks like a very sharp car you rarely see anymore. Thanks Darren for the post.
Good luck out there!
