WANTED: Rear Leaf Springs

I've finally come to the conclusion the Lifeliner just may need a new set of rear leaf springs.

Any idea where to get them and a possible cost associated with them?

How close are you to Tampa Spring?
They're on my list of shops who know what they're doing, and may well be able to set you up by interleafing some new leaves. They can also rearch your present stack.

Eton is were I have gotten mine made up the can do the original all you need to know is 9 or 7 leaf. if I remember right around 800 each and fright

$800 each?????? That seems very high. A good spring shop should be able to re-temper the old springs, and replace any broken leaves. If no broken leaves, then it is a simple job for them. You might have to call a few to find a shop that is willing to tackle the job, and has the proper equipment. Today, many spring shops are just installers, ordering the replacement springs and installing them on the truck.

One would have to call for the quote. All I needed for the 67 was a main leaf. As they fit 57 to 76 and they were the original provider for GM you know you will get the proper ride higth. Seen some re arched ones way high in the back. Like everything else that requires manual skills the people that did this for a living have moved on to the golden years. With no replacement workers.

Stop at a local shop that does diesel and large truck repairs they will be able to direct you to best/cheapest local spring shop. I have not bought a new spring (except coils) in 30 years. Always had springs rebuilt HD wreckers and all.
