I sure wish that one of the manufactures would start producing a commerical chassis again but I'm talking to the wall.

Opinions. Better with or without cot.

If someone was using for pickup vehicle they might leave cot in car. For display purposes which looks better?

That coach was in service at a local funeral home here in Indiana. What makes it 's history a little interesting is that it wasn't converted into a hearse until years later. It spent half it's life as a family sedan and a lead vehicle.

To answer your question, Danny, in my humble opinion I like it without the cot. I like to be able to see the beautiful interior of the coach. I feel the same about empty coffins in the back of hearses. For demonstration purposes, on an out of service coach, the cot or a coffin can serve a purpose. However, for everyday use/display, I like it without either. If it were an ambulance, I would prefer it fully stocked with equipment, supplies, and a stretcher.
Again, just one person's opinion. In truth, there is no right or wrong. It is your car; which way do you prefer?

I had the pleasure of delivering this Mercury hearse to Danny, and can vouch that it does drive very well. It handled the mountains and traffic on I-75 like a champ all the way from Ohio to Knoxville TN!
Glad you're so happy with it Danny, it'll make you a good road trip coach.

How great would that be to own a Caserta car. Thanks for sharing Danny, that's a keeper.

True Ron. I had many great chats with Tom and thought it was great how he did his own thing making these cars. The quality is very good, not a cheap junky hearse at all. Just not on a caddy chassis. I love my marquis and figure it will be great to drive on road trips to far away meets. Less likely to break down than my 70 MM. Wonder how many cars he actually did over the years?
