How many Criterion's are left...

1975 Criterion from Hall's

The Criterion at Hall's was purchased within the last few years, and was not one of their original cars.

This photo was taken by Tom Parkinson in July of 1977. It looks just like the car (including the unit number) in reply #73:

The upper paint stripes don't do anything for these cars!

I don't remember seeing a reference to this car here. The photo came from Carl Woerner, who told me she was from Mercer Co., Ohio (Celina is the county seat).

Note that this girl has optional dual ditch lights and single side flashers. The standard configuration was dual flashers on all four sides with a single ditch light each side. You didn't see many Strat-O-Rays on these cars, either...although Bill Donnell's '76 has two!

Interesting Steve. Mine has dual ditch lights and a single side flasher and used to have a single 184 on top. I switched to the twin 184's. I was told by Leo (seller of my Criterion) that New Jersey required dual ditch lights. I'm afraid that fact has been disputed for we've seen several Criterion's without this configuration.

Old # 73

I think all three of you are right. It's my understanding that HALL'S current Criterion is a "replica" of the one they once owned, that was probably Unit #73.... hence the same Number now and then, but not the same car. MM

Post 206

The first and second photos in Richard's post (#206) are the same car. That is a 1976 Miller-Meteor Cadillac landau Lifeliner that was bought new by F-M Ambulance Service in Fargo, ND. It went on to Ellendale Community Ambulance in Ellendale, ND, being retired ca. 1985.

Here's a '75 that hasn't been mentioned in this thread:

Here's what Bill's car looked like while in service with the original owner.

BCAS Lifeliner

Not exactly sure where this served originally in BC but I think in Richmond...just south of Vancouver. Note the wrong lense replacement on the right side Federal 184 (Smith and Wesson? lense)
