History of a particular car....

Hello everyone!

Trying to research the following:

A 1971 S&S Medic Ambulance, it also has the Hess & Eisenhardt badging. It was restored in 1999. It was owned by another entity before being acquired by Florida Medical Center, which was a private hospital in Ft. Lauderdale. The med center was owned by the current owner of the vehicle, Dr. Edward Dauer.

There is a vin number that I have if anyone has a registry of these.

I have contacted Joe Bund at Superior Coach, and he does not have info pre-1980s.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mark

This car was purchased new by Fanwood NJ.....won in a raffle by SAS Ambulance Service in Pinellas Country Florida......bought by myself from bankruptcy court.....sold to Ed Dauer in 1991ish.

Re: History of a particular car

Cary, Thank you very much! Dauer's car keepers mentioned Tampa FD as an owner, but they might have confused one west coast Florida area for another! Do you still have any info on the car?

Could I contact you off forum for more details?

Thanks again, everyone for your rapid responses!

Mark

DEAR MARK: You ought to restore your rig to that pretty cream yellow color that it wore while serving in Fanwood, NJ - so very Floridian, and truly different from the red, white and Omaha Orange exteriors seen on most other PCS high-tops!
