Figured i would post this for anyone who may be interested on the PCS. I was very interested in this coach. However another opportunity has arisen and has persuaded me to pass at this time This coach is not mine. I am posting it for a friend. He is a Funeral director, and a heck of a nice guy to boot. I feel this coach is a pretty solid deal. She is a 1965 Cadillac. It is an S&S Landau end loader complete with extend table. The rear interior is gorgeous. The cab interior is complete but needs some TLC.

The body seems pretty solid. The only real issue body wise is rust that is under the vinyl top. The extent of the damage is unknown. A close examination of the pictures will reveal the rust just above the quarter panels. Her original 429 is in need of a waster pump, but sports only 40,000 miles. She will run and drive, but only very short periods as to prevent over heating. I think this coach is very restorable personally, but the rust under the top is a concern. At worst, this would make a wonderful parts car. Here are some photos.

Looks to be a good deal on a very deserving project!

good deal on a no air S&S. the roof on most of them was a problem. for such a solid coach builder it's funny they cut corners under the tops.

I agree it seems to be worth the price, with the only concern being the extent of the rust under the vynal. She would be a beauty restored though.

I agree, that would be a big concern. If its rusting there, Im sure it has alot more hidden under the vinyl. I know S&S built cars are notorious for rusting out just under the loading door window. Not sure why, the other builders did not have this problem as bad.

Mine has a little rust under the loading door window, however its not real bad. I would like to one day in the near future have that fixed before it gets worse and have the vynal redone on the loading door. Other than that, the rest of my roof seems to be very solid with no signs of any other rust under the vynal.

Owner called me today to notify me that as of Monday she was going to scrap. Said scrap yard would offer $500 and thats what he had to have...

We welcome a 1965 S&S to the family...

I was just about to ask, would he take $700? I had one almost identical but it was GREEN all over, interior included.

What is the story behind this car? Is it still with us?

Hey Pat!

Sorry, I guess I haven't updated any on this coach. I've been avoiding posting much. She is indeed still with us. The vinyl top has been removed so rust issues can be addressed. She has alot of rust where the roof meets the quarters. The 429 ran for a little bit, the proceeded to knock like someone was building a house in the base pan! She is likely to receive a nice little 350 that's built in the shop.

I'll try to get some updated pictures if possible, but this one hasn't been priority so it hasn't changed much. I'll try to post the funeral home it was built for on the S&S tag. I know it was a home in PA, but the name slips me. I'll have to slide out to the shop and look again.

Yes! Please do. I was afraid it went the way of others and became a refrigerator some where along the way. :applause:
