I would start with the purchase documents and see if you can do a title trace in the state where it was last titled. Also, scour the drivers compartment, under the seat, glove box, and even under the dash to see if there is any match book covers, pencils, etc. that got lodged there many years ago. You have to play crime scene detective when checking for ownership hint left behind. Some states like New Jersey have records going back decades, but will not access them unless there is a high priority, such as a criminal investigation. If you know someone in the DMV, they can do a cursory search of the computerized data base for the serial number. If they find the serial number, then next would be to try to get someone to look up the records. With the privacy laws today, that is almost impossible to accomplish.

hi thanks for the help, but i have done most of that already, i found nothing under the seat, or glovebox, i know im the 4th pa owner, and car was titled in virgina sometime ago, i also found a kids school report in the back all about the car dated 1995 but that name and address are no longer valid....i know the car was orig blue or blue and white and the kid described the car s red and black in his paper, but now its white and red....last owner would only tell me he bought the car with other cadillacs to use in demo derby runs..i just puchased it.

William, I know (knew) of a '65 Superior Cadillac ambulance that was from MD but was last owned by someone in Wilkes Barre about 10 years ago. I wonder if this is possibly the same one? Can you post photos or e-mail me (click link) (stevel200@att.net)? If it is that car, I do know where it came from. That car was red, not blue, at least when I knew it - but the fire department that owned it may not have bought it new.

Wouldn't the red and black color scheme indicate that it was possibly a Chicago car at one time?

Wouldn't the red and black color scheme indicate that it was possibly a Chicago car at one time?Chicago FD ran M-M's almost exclusively (except for some white '69?? Superior Pontiacs bought with a grant). Chicago suburbs used other makes. But the red and black paint scheme is used in a lot of places besides Chicago, and could have been "added" later by anyone.

Why not post a photo? Someone here might recognize it...

Steve I think that would be Tyler Hammons car (i think its his last name) He works a A Paramedic for Wilkes Barre City and still owns the car.

i dont know how to get a pic of the car on here, i know about the red 65 ambulance in wilkes-barre, i talked to that guy a few years ago hes a medic for wb, he still has the car it was from md i believe, my car is different it was from virginia, i bought it from oxford pa a guy was going to use it in a demo derby, i should have let him use it its junk, all rotted, im just going to get it running and resell it, i didnt have the car shipped home when i started the posts, but now that i see the car in person, what a bomb, i have had over 25 professional cars since im a cadillac lover, i now only own a 72 cadillac hearse, and a 51 mack fire engine.... if i can post photos id be glad to but when i click on the image button on this tab it does not do anything....as of now i lost interest in the ambulance and really dont care if i ever find out where it came from, its not a keeper, its a quick flip.......was orig blue car or white and blue....car has more paint on it than, glidden, dupont, and krylon combined....

All, William e-mailed me a photo of his car. I don't recognize it as something I've seen before. Also, it looks like a combination. Photo is attached below. (William, you have to go down to "manage attachments" to attach a photo. The image "button" above is for photos posted somewhere else on the 'net.) I'm sorry it's in such bad shape.

Was this car on e-bay recently? I thought I saw it there, in the photos it looked like it was sitting in a field. Can it be saved?

The only two '65 Superiors I've seen recently on eBay are these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320413459947&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170375624945&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT

Both are combinations; the second one, however, does have what appears to be a blue interior...?

1970 models, very plain, no beacons; eight of them, if I remember correctly.

Yup the second one. I remember seeing that on e-bay. It didn't really look that bad. But sometimes I guess its hard to tell.
