I just registered for the hotel and I think I'll bring my M-M. The Superior just wouldn't feel right as long as I own a Piqua product.

Dad, Pate the puppy, and I are planning to be there. We'll hopefully be bringing the Volunteer, which should be out of the shop (yes, the same one :o ) by then with it's new Colonial Classic floor.

Rick, I'll call you because we are coming Thursday and will be passing through the area (well, WashPA on 70), perhaps we can join up.

My reservation has been made for months. Almost as soon as I heard there was going to be a MM reunion. My 61 MM limo style combination turned over the 79K mark on the way home from Flint. I should be there on Wed Sept 2. I hope you all have a safe journey to Piqua, Ohio.

You mean the same shop that ALWAYS makes room on their schedule and gets your vehicles in for last minute repairs/updates? :D

Rumor has it that that shop can't air the tires without a one week in advance appointment.. :D

MM Reunion news today Aug 27, 2009.
Tom Caserta called this morning at 10:36am to have me post some info for the upcoming reunion in Piqua, Ohio.
The Comfort Inn at the Miami Valley Mall still has rooms availible. The Comfort Inn is located at the intersection of I 75 and state rt 36. Make sure you tell them you are with the PCS. If and when they fill up there is a La Quinta Inn just across the road. The La Quinta is located at 950 E Ash St in Piqua, Ohio. The phone is 937.615.0140.
Tom needs info on how many will be attending the tours at both Eagle and AccuBuilt. This will tell the Eagle and AccuBuilt how many tour guides they will need. Call Tom at: 937.773.0259 to let him know if you will be on one or both tours.
After the photo shoot at the Clark Ave home of MM we will be proceeding to the Johnston Farm to display our cars at the Piqua Heritage Festival. Tom says we should be arriving at the festival between 10 and 11 am. The festival organizers have a rule that once we are parked on the grounds we should plan on staying until the close of the festival on Saturday night. You can ask Tom more about this when you call with your tour info. The Johnston Farm is located on Rt 66 not far from Piqua.
Any and all questions should be called into Tom. He does not have web access so the phone is the way to contact him.
Tom also would like to know how many of us may be willing to stay at the festival for Sunday and Monday. Let him know this in your phone call.
Please call him with your tour info as soon as possible. We are only 5 days from our first arrivals for the MM Reunion. The sooner we get our info to Tom the better.

Trying to talk Terri into letting me go by driving up (not in the Lifeliner) for the show. If I make it will there be a pro-car I can ride in with someone?

Richard,

Lifeliner or no Lifeliner, please feel welcome to join us. Hope to see you there!

Since I won't be arriving until later on Thursday, I think the only tour left is Accubuilt.

Two of us will be coming, but 'm not sure if my surprise guest will wish to go on the tour. It is my hope that my guest will be joining me.

I'll contact Tom.

Thanks for the update!

Onward and Upward!

Richard,
My 61 always has room for one more. I will warn you that it has the old style 2/60 A/C. Tell Terri we will take good care of you. We will not send you back any more corrupted than when you got here.

In a letter dated Aug 28, 2009 Tom Caserta sent the following info. The La Quinta Inn in Piqua, Ohio will give PCS members the same room rate as the Comfort Inn. That is $60.00 per night. Make sure you tell them you are with the PCS and the MM Reunion. Phone the La Quinta Inn at 937.615.0140.
Tom is still wanting phone calls to verify how many of us will be going on the Eagle Coach and AccuBuilt tours. He needs a body count so enough tour guides will be at each plant. Call Tom at 937.773.0259.
I am sure Tom appreciates your help in this matter.
Have a safe trip to Piqua, Ohio.
If you see the 61 series 75 Cadillac along the road just know I have first dibs on it.
Hope to see you soon in Piqua.

Thank you one and all,
Mike

Sorry, but you will have to get through this one without me.:( I have a four day party at the same time in Dayton and I'm using the 74 M&M to haul the recycling. It is, after all, the "workhearse".:D Take lots of pictures.:)

Have a good time at your party. Let someone else wear the lamp shade this time.

I will have to depart on Saturday, rather than Sunday as I had planned. My return flight is scheduled for 5:00pm, so I will have to leave around 2:00pm in order to make it to the airport in Columbus on time.

On the bright side, I will be able to have another reunion while in Piqua. A childhood friend whom I have seen only once since high school lives close by, and will drive over to meet me on Friday. His reaction to why I'll be in Piqua; You collect what!!!???

Along with the presence of "surprise guests," the 2009 Miller-Meteor Reunion will feature a "surprise activity." I'm not at liberty to say what it is; all I can say is that you don't want to miss the dinner with the retirees...:)

Looking forward to seeing everyone in Piqua this week!

I'm thinking about heading over with the ambulance for the car show on Saturday, but I can't stay until 10:00pm. Does anyone know if they allow vehicles in and out if they're not parked in a special area? I don't need to park with everyone else, but I'd like to bring it.

If anyone is still looking for a room at the Comfort Inn, I have one booked for Thursday, Friday and Saturday which I must cancel due to an ongoing family health issue. I will be calling to cancel the room after 7 pm tomorrow if you interested in attempting to book it.

I would call Tom Caserta on the parking thing. He has told me that the PCS cars will have a special parking spot. He also stated that the festival management prefers we do not drive in and out during the festival. That is one reason they are giving us special parking. If you park in the general admission parking you would be free to come and go as you please as anyone would be. Other arrangement will have to go through Tom. 937.773.0259 is his number. Times a running here.

I will be there although not for as long as I would like. I hope to see you guys for dinner on Thursday and through most of Friday. As for the Miller-Meteor, the jury is still out on that.

I'm sad Terri and I were not able to see your Lifeliner Brady. I had my hopes up but we all know how these things happen. From the DVD I did see two pictures of it in your massive garage (very nice).
Are there any chances your body guy would tackle my ambulance? Am I able to talk with him about it. Appreciate the help.
