I know that everyone here has probably seen these, but as I mentioned in another post, I have been finding all kinds of cars that had been packed away for a while, so I figured that since I had them out, I would photograph and share them.

The first 3 are all listed as 1963 Cadillac Hearses.

First is the one that Phantom Coaches had made for them. I don't know exact production numbers for these, but I understand that there were not many made. There is also a white one out there and one day I will find one that is in my price range.

Next is the same car in black over grey colors. This came in a 3 pack like the third car.

This last one I picked up complete in the case. It comes with a 1959 Woody and a 1957 El Dorado. This one may have the flames, but it is still a good looking car to me. I haven't had the heart to take it out of the package yet... maybe some day.

This next one isn't a hearse or ambulance, but there were a few Cadillac station wagons made through the years by the coach companies, so I figure that it qualifies as a pro car.

I really like the back end of this one. I only wish they would have made a hearse or ambulance on the 1959 Cadillac instead of the station wagon.

Charles, I have the much sought-after "Phantom Coaches" HotWheels coach you desire in BOTH colors... black & WHITE! They are in their original boxes, never opened. If you're coming to Flint, pack some trading material and i'll do the same LOL. As for that '59 woody wagon, it's a replica of the '59's that were specially built for (don't quote me on this) some ski resort or national park for hauling tourists. I'd read about them somewhere & have a pic on my computer here that shows a guy who owns not ONE but TWO of them, both totally restored. One is on his car hauler truck, the other on a trailer. Both are yellow with the woodgrain. If I can find the story & history... the link will be sent to you. Nice to meet a fellow die-cast hearse collector... I too have the Hard Rock Cafe' set & every other hearse die-cast i've ever came across in life! Pathetic aren't we? LOL boys & their toys... oh well it's an affordable hobby usually. -Dwayne

My mistake... the "wagons" were specially built for the Broadmoor Hotel and can only find one pic so far, & that one's red & no wodgrain... here's a link to the page: http://www.car-nection.com/yann/Dbas_txt/prof59.htm

the wagons were built for GM by H&E. H&E also built 2 sets of the Broadmoor cars, the 55 and 57 I think. the 59's were built by superior. H&E had a long standing with GM they did a lot of things for them. built the fleetwood 75 on the 85-89 FWD chassis and a convertible also on the same chassis. the Caddy wagons were all done with the wood grain trim and all sold only threw caddy dealerships. I have seen some with out the wood grain by National and a small co in Tx also. I should have at least one stolen picture of each.

... the "wagons" were specially built for the Broadmoor Hotel ...I was wondering if you were thinking about the Broadmoor Hotel cars. I had known about them and didn't think that these were modeled after the Broadmoor cars. The thing that I remember most about the Broadmoor cars was the roof. Each one had 4 (I believe) windows built into the roof so that the tourist could check out the scenery. I will have to look, but I am almost sure that I have pictures of one of the Broadmoor cars around here somewhere. Someone had brought one to an International Meet. Lebanon Missouri? Unfortunately, that was before I went digital, so if I do have a picture of it, I will have to scan it before posting it.

... I too have ... every other hearse die-cast I've ever came across in life! Pathetic aren't we? LOL boys & their toys... oh well it's an affordable hobby usually ... The bad part of me collecting diecast is that it isn't just confined to professional cars. I collect just about any scale and any form of transportation known to man.

Right now, I have around 4,000 1:64 scale diecast cars alone. I do focus on a couple of different types of cars, but if I see something that I like I buy it. The three categories that I collect most are professional cars, station wagons and trucks.

Most of my 1:64 scale cars are from 1 of 3 manufacturers... Matchbox, Hot Wheel or Johnny Lightning. I do have a few from a lot of other manufacturers also like Yatming, Playart, Fresh Cherry, Muscle Machines, Motor Max and a few more taht I know that I have forgotten. Actually right now, I am really starting to like some of the castings that Green Light is comming out with.

The question that I have for you is... Is there anything in particular that you are looking for?

It is easier for me to just bring certain things than to bring the whole collection. I can honestly say that my whole collection is up for trade if I find something that I need. Basically, I would trade any car(s) for a car that you have if it is something that I need (pro-car or not). There are only a couple of my cars that I wouldn't trade for anything.

Let me know what you need.

Chuck

LOL Charles... this is scary! We must have been brothers seperated at birth! I too collect all types of die-cast, mainly Hot Wheels, Johnny lightning, some Muscle machines, and a few Matxchbox. Dude I literally have 3 rows of boxes FULL & stacked from floor to ceiling of mainly 1/64th Hot Wheels, all in their original blister packs. Also collect the "100% Hot Wheels" cars, specialty sets of all kinds, 1/18th & 1/25th scale cars, and oddball stuff I come across. However i'm not a fanatic that has to have EVERY first-edition car... like you I only buy what appeals to me. We'll have to meet up for sure in Flint... until then we'll come up with something on a trade somehow!

 That is one that I don't have yet. I'm not even sure that I knew that it was available. I'll have to keep my eyes open for it. Thanks Attila... another model for me to find! ;)

I have checked that one out before. I just can't bring myself to pay the money that they usually go for.

Arguably the best color, only available as a set. Since Airstream collectors keep the prices up - difficult to snag a deal. Pretty cool though huh?

Took a wonderful variation on trade:

No clue what it was originally available in! Black coach with red flames doesn't match others. Doesn't appear to be tampered with or repainted. Besides the one already posted, here is the other with flames:

There have been 3 on the last 6 months that have broken $200; 2 of which were over $275. See one on eBay under $100...bargain.
