Nice pic of an ambulance sitting in the grass outside someones house in Sandy Ridge , North Carolina. Notes say it's near the Virginia border. Looks unmolested and hasn't been ghosbustered.....

Someone near there needs to stop and see if it is available, right?

The roof sign looks like it says "STONE" if so it probably belongs or belonged to STONE AMBULANCE SERVICE in Martinsville, VA.

Their website (http://www.stoneambulance.com/images/OldUnit1.jpg): [url="http://www.stoneambulance.com/images/OldUnit1.jpg"]

Nice looking car. The Stone Ambulance website says its a 1974. There is a nice picture of the car a racetrack. It would be nice to see this car rescued.

It's not a 1974 if it is the Stone Car. The one on their website has square headlights. My thought was a 1976

most likely a 75 not a lot of difference in them. sitting at the race track under a Ford sign with Richard Petty's signature and the Dodge #43 on it. not it that isn't a bit of automobile irony I don't know what is.
