Well, I just thought I'd "tease" a bit, but I've got a big surprise new model I just finished to display at the Micro-Meet in Flint next week.
If you want to see it in person next Saturday, come to the Micro-Meet. If not, you'll see the photos here the following week.
Ohh, the suspense is killing me! Watch this space.
Which leads me to plug the meet - if you have professional car models, this is the best place to display them and maybe win an award (ribbon) or so. It's a fun meet, and a good chance to see others' models as well. If you can't make it this year, plan to come to the Micro-Meet next year. It's a lot of fun.
Are you just dying to know what the surprise is? Patience. I'm not going to give a hint as I know I'd give it away. :blahblah:

My guess is that it is either a Packard Henny Jr. Ambulance or it is a Studerbaker Ambulette...

My guess is that it is either a Packard Henny Jr. Ambulance or it is a Studerbaker Ambulette...You must'a slept through the previous meets, because I already built those models and already displayed them at the Micro-Meet, I think two years ago.
Oh, and it's "Henney" and "Ambulet" (not to correct spelling, but to set the record straight).

OK, if you were wondering (and if nobody else posted it yet), here's the surprise that I displayed at the Micro-Meet in Flint yesterday.
Yes, it's the REAL JFK ambulance, or at least the 1/25th scale version. Paul said this is what happened when the real one went into the crusher, it came out smaller.
It's made from an R&R Resin kit of a '63 Pontiac Bonneville station wagon, with the wagon roof cut off. The chassis was lengthened with sheet styrene, the body was lengthened using a section from a junk-body Johan Cadillac ambulance kit (very similar shape, it turns out). The windows and roof were made from sheet styrene using one of the photos of the ambulance for a pattern. The interior uses the front from the R&R kit with the rear scratchbuilt from styrene. The wheels come from the Johan Plymouth police car kit, and tires from a pile of tires I bought years ago. The beacon comes from the Johan Dodge police wagon kit. Lots of Johan stuff at my house. The display case is from Pioneer. And lots of body putty.
I started it just after the auction ended, finished it last week, so it took about 3 weeks. I was going to bring something else, but I just couldn't resist the opportunity to build this and display it now.

There's no way that can be "the one", Steve. If you dispute this, I can get a large group of people from The Professional Car Society to testify that there's no way a flag-draped casket could go in there; there's a stretcher in the way! :D
Sorry...somebody had to be a wise guy and since I missed the meet, it might as well be me! Seriously, Steve, it looks great. Sorry I missed seeing it in person.
Since Jo-Han made a 1964 Cadillac coupe model kit, I assume you - or someone equally talented - will soon be unveiling a model of a certain white 1964 Miller-Meteor Cadillac Classic limousine combination with formal drapes...

Steve great replica!!!! do you have any inprogress shots???Thanks. But no, I didn't take any in-progress pictures, as I had a lot of model to build in a short period of time. And I don't really like to see pictures of my models in-progress, it's like looking at it with it's pants down.

I've never had the chance to show him. Ironically, of course, Bill was at the Micro-Meet this weekend, but I didn't bring it (because I fly up, I can only bring one 1/25 model with me as a carry-on).
