I know I read this somewhere but can't find it right now.What are the rules for displaying and judging at Nationals.Things such as fire ext. wheel blocks etc. thats what I am asking about.

You should have a fire extinguisher and period correct wheel chocks. You also need to make sure that the wheel chock matches up to the wheel that you plan on using it. Doug according to the By-Laws; "The Board of Directors shall strive to protect the Society's good name and may refuse admittance to any vehicle at Society-sponsored events. Bizarre decorations and contents, condition not reflecting well upon the automobile hobby, and inappropriate prominent lettering or slogans shall be cause for such refusal. Professional vehicles which have been converted into campers, regardless of the quality of the conversion, shall be deemed to have lost their historic value and shall not be judged at Society events, although they may participate if the body is original."
Also the board has stated that all vehicles are to have a fire ext. and wheel blocks. No caskets are allowed in any vehicle.

"Period correct wheel blocks?"

Does this mean that the "wolmanized wooden chocks" that were provided by the Northeast Chapter, at the Mt. Laurel Meet are NOT acceptable?

Richard is only second in wheel chock expertise to Jeremy Ledford.:drive2:

Not only must the wheel chock be period correct, you MUST have the correct one depending on which side of the car you plan to use them on. For instance, if using them on the driver's side, you need driver side chocks and the same goes for the passenger side. There is a difference so do not be fooled. Don't even begin to try and locate chocks for front wheels just get the ones for the rear.

It is my understanding you may use suction cups in lieu of wheel chocks. Has anyone else heard this?:wwpics:

that way you can jump out a recover it before some one else does. running over them is OK not knowing you did it so you leave it behind is not.
wheel chocks and a fire extinguisher by the right front tire car displayed empty. with the exception of ambulances with period correct equipment and flower cars my have a floral arrangement . that is if I remember the rules.

As mentioned you can keep the fire extinguisher next to the car, but you may not use as a wheel chock and a fire extinguisher.

Also the head judge this year has no sense of humor and can be a real PITA.
