The 62 Ford that transported Oswald after he was shot by Jack Ruby is in the Lensing Museum in Roscoe IL

I looked at it, and I can't say for sure if it is legitimate or not. The display however, is interesting, in fact the entire museum is loaded with very interesting historical items. If you are into historical cars and artifacts of modern history this is a place I highly recommend if you are ever in the area.
If you go to the site I posted c lick the JFK area on the museum directory, then click # 58 ti see a photo of the Oneal ambulance.

Did anyone else notice that 62 Ford has 63 wheel covers? Just asking.

I thought the REAL O'Neal Ford Ambulance had the "Texas Style Lolly-Pop Lights" on each side of a "Q"?.... I may be thinking of another ambulance? MM

It did; there were four Do-Ray lights, plus a #17 behind the whistle. I, too, would like to know the story behind the repacement lights and siren.

It kind of looked like a clone to me, but the museum claims it to be the car.
Who knows?
Looks like just a station wagon made up as an ambulance. I saw no evidence of Amblewagon or any conversion company stuff.

I could be mistaken, but didnt we discuss this place previously (maybe on the previous mesage board) and determine that several of their cars were not the real thing?

If this is the same car that was at Kruse a number of years ago and I'm sure it is, one could see that the original lights were removed years ago and replaced by the ones that are currently on the car. The holes in the roof matched up with the lights on the old video after Oswald was shot. Why someone put the current lights on it or when it was done is unknown.
