Does anyone have a Cadillac hood release lever ?

I just need the lever bolted to the hood.
The one I have has a broken spring.

If you do, let me know.

Thanks !
Darren

The '73 & '74 Cadillac hoods are exactly the same. I would assume that what you need is as well.

But just to be sure do you need the safety catch bolted to the hood or the latch bolted to the raditaor support? That spring brake on the safety makes it a chore to close the hood

The part bolted to the hood is what I need.
The handle you use to release the hood to lift it.

Yes, it makes it hard to deal with the hood with the spring broken.

Any help finding one is appreciated.
I will be in MI next week so I can give a US address for shipping.

Thanks again all,
Darren

Let us know when you locate one. I will be back home tomorrow night. I know that I have one off of my '74 parts car if you need it.

Don't you guys have salvage yards in Canada??

There are some but none around Toronto.

I use to have 4 close by but most of the yards do not sell parts any longer.

There is one an hour away that you can take the parts off yourself
but nothing old. Only current vehicles.

With Canada being a complete rust belt during winter, there are way fewer yards than in the US.

Darren

I use to have 4 close by but
