But it sure would look better with the fender skirts on

I vote with Brady plus it needs the side moldings too. Nice coach though.

Definitely agree. Fender skirts give more elegance.

Taken off for a paint job and never replaced; just a guess...

This car belongs to a fellow that has an exposure on Facebook.
I won't attach a link to any of his stuff as its not suitable to this site. Needless to say it's at the other end of the spectrum of why we collect these cars.

Also, needs the correct wheel covers. Quarters were probably not properly repaired and will not accept the factory skirts.

I sold this Car to its current owner, and still do the maintenance and repairs to it. The Fender skirts are in the car and fit just fine. The car had the incorrect rear rim, so the hubcap would stick out too far and hit the skirt. It has since been corrected, but still need the correct hub caps.

Its true, a lot of people wouldn't care for the magazine he produces, and I knew what he was going to do with the car. He uses it as a promotional tool, but has taken great care of it so far and has continued the restoration.
I am still looking for the M-M badges, rocker mouldings and the belt trim for both rear quarters.

This is what the car looked like when I bought it in November of 2012:

Here are a few photos of the restoration. Repainted in its factory black and reupholstered with its originally ordered red and grey door panels, red mohair floor, sconce panels and headliner. We recently installed new door rubber from Mike Mykulak and we have an electric table and all its components to reinstall in the future.

Nice save there. What can you tell us about the ones sitting on the street.

Wow! I am in awe of the work done in restoring the interior! Few people would go to the extreme expense of having the interior restored using real Mohair! That had to cost a fortune.

I have multiple correct '59 Cadillac wheel covers, if the owner is still looking for them.

Nik

Thanks for sharing that info and photos.

Outstanding work so far. I bet he spent a lot of money !

I don't have facebook so I see the other side of the owner.

As for the car and the work, it's an incredible transformation !

Way to go,
Darren

A lot of time, energy, passion and expense went into the restoration thus far. The MM badges come up on E-bay occasionally. If repops are acceptable, there are some for sale right now.
Quite a transformation. Not many coaches are resurrected like this one has been. Often times, it is a bridge too far for many because of the cost involved.

Given all the work that has been done, I am guessing the little odds and ends will not be a stretch for the owner.

Kurt, yes please, we still need the wheel covers.

The restoration has been a challenge, but it could have been worse. The car came with a good number of its original parts and I had some of the parts in storage that were needed. The new owner has enjoyed the car so much, he recently made me an offer on my 58 M-M Futura duplex.

Richard, the other coaches in the photos are my 63 Superior ambulance which I still own, my wife's 73 Superior endloader(with her preference of M-M landaus) which we sold a few years back. Im told it went to a funeral home in France. In the driveway you can see a bit of the 58 M-M.

MM repop badges. The seller is honest.
