We went and looked at this Wednesday. Unique vehicle for the price but more project than I would like to tackle. Owner is willing to take less. Nice guy to talk to. I have additional photos if someone is interested. Only data plate was not legible. Anyone know who built this?

it would look to be the style of the civil defense rigs. the side glass is off from the only 39 Siebert picture I have. then with out a stretch it could be one of many in house built rigs out there.

This looks like school bus conversions that I've seen from various states. Too bad there are no interior shots. Some school bus conversions have survived, and there are lots of photos of buses from the past. This could still be an ambulance, but the yellow paint, fleet number, and 2 window treatment make me think it's an ex-school bus built up from a van body.
