Can anyone tell me what the purpose of this is? The spotlight lense has a blue bullseye and a blue surround. I don't think it's etched into the lense.

The BlueEye Beam (made in Oklahoma by Optronics) was designed to virtually eliminate reflective glare and protect against night blindness.

each manufacture called them a different thing. which is of coarse were the confusion lays. it even been known that the same manufactures distributed the same product in different regions under different names. all in the marketing game.
