I am in need of the "spring wire bulb retainers"(my term) for PAR 36 spot lights. I am sure that anyone with emergency equipment has had to replace these as they rusted badly and crumble. I believe that there are 2 per spot light. First and foremost, correct me as to the proper name for these retainers. Any assistance as to where to go for these is greatly appreciated.

I purchase mine from Unity. (http://www.unityusa.com/U-6598-Spring-Pack_p_353.html) They come in a package of four, and I use all four per bulb. I don't know if anyone has them any cheaper.

Yes,I also purchased mine in bulk (36pcs) from UNITY...

I believe they called them "retaining clips"

Is this what I am needing? I am not seeing the bulk pack.

The original retainers were made of carbon steel that rusted, however, the replacements are stainless steel, so they should last your lifetime. Three retainers are all that I have ever seen on a spotlight, no matter the size of the bulb, and the bulb was always secure.

Kurt,

I dont think they offer a "bulk pack" in their catalog...it was after explaining to the guy on the phone that I needed QUANTITIES he put together a "bulk pack" for me....I guess thats what he needed to call it on the invoice....was not much different in price though.....
