Looks to be in decent shape. However, I would like to see the underside. Dirt floors can wreak havoc on the under carriage.

Pat I was thinking the same. My car was damaged and needed some work and was in the mud only 1 year. Dont know if a member here will buy that beauty but for sure Im curious to see this car clean and free !! Why are they always that far !!

This one's pretty close to me... wish I had the confidence to work on a car in that condition. Almost hate to know about ones like this! :o

Looks familiar. Good to see another one survives. Hope it gets rescued.

That is just about the ugliest color combination that I have ever seen on an ambulance!! Reminds me of that God-awful Jennifer Blue that GM sold the heck out of in the mid-'70s!

No chance with my bank account ;)

And I like blue and white! =)

Blue & white is cool....... just not that blue! What was the price in the original Craig's List listing?

----->$2k.

Wise buy on the part of the current owner!! He will probably have to put it on eBay. The European buyers tend to watch eBay closer than Craig's List. They seem to be the only ones that have the money to buy the project cars these days.

If the car is now in Winlock, WA, its probably at D. Baer's Cadillac Ranch

$100 bet it isn't at dbaer's - and you can pay up in Flint.

Did all 63 pro cars have the license plate in the middle of the back door, or was that just a Superior feature? It seems like most years, the rear license plate was part of the rear bumper.

Along with Superior,Miller-Meteor had the plate on the back door on 63 models also (Cadillac).....
Not sure about other manufacturers.....

These are the only coachbuilders Ive ever seen with the plate in the door in 1963. In 64 (which is the same body), the plate was moved to the bumper.

Blue and white was used by Shepard Ambulance in Seattle so this very likely one of their's.

AMR bought out Shepard in 1995.

Looks like you still have a chance to me!!

I was in contact with the NEW owner.

He advised the front floors are totaly gone, and coach has several(whatever that means) "rust-throughs" on differant areas on the body.He seemed reluctant to go into any kind of detail.
The fiberglass is in very good condition and coach has clear paperwork.
The patient compartment needs total restoration with some water damage to cabinets etc.however its all intact.
Also says that he will be removing the motor shortly and then will list on E-
Bay after removal.
He advised me the price is FIRM at $6000 and would not consider an offer...
The only "deal" he would be up for, is for me to buy it now while the motor was still in it because after he removes it, the coach will still be $6000.:o

I asked for more pictures...but who knows.....

That's a shame that he seems to have bought the vehicle only for it's motor.

$6000 is way too much for that car in it's current shape and when the motor is gone much, much less.

Had contact with seller again today regarding the 63.

He now is unsure if he wants to sell it for $6000.00.

His reason is that over the last 2 days he has been overwhelmed with "interest from all over the world"...

He says that he is considering putting it up for auction,(besides E-Bay !! ??"

I guess the profit he is making from washing it off and trailering it home is not sufficient at 4k.......

He also advised that 3 of the 4 doors glass is cracked, but rear door is good as is windshield.
The bumpers need work/chrome.

So little by little I get info, but still waiting on a few more pictures of the underside.....

Somehow I think this ambulance is going to be popping up for quite some time.....
