I am thinking about you folks having a great time, and wishing that I could be with you, however, I have some important doctors appointments that prevent me from being there. Here's wishing everyone a great time, and I shall enjoy this meet vicariously through the pictures. Lets make this the "official" picture thread...

I enjoy taking and posting the pics - that's why I do it!
I have another bunch taken on Wednesday uploaded, both from the parking lot and from the tours of MillerCoors, The Pabst Mansion, and the Harley Museum. I couldn't take a lot of pics at the Harley Tour because I couldn't keep up with Bob the Tour Guide!

Four favorite moments from the meet:
1) Three 1970 M-M Cadillac Volunteer ambulances on the shore of Lake Michigan. Bruce Biancalana's, Dan Brintlinger's, and mine.
2) Same three during the light show. Great!
3) Dan Skivlocke's grand reveal of his newly-restored 1959 S&S Cadillac hearse. Truly the Best in Show!
4) Evan Butchers driving the '71 S&S he used to own, with a big SMILE. Congratulations to the John Keel Award winner!

Very cool group shots!

If you will be in Rochester in 2014 I sure would like to get my Classic 48 into a group shot with all of yours!

Here's two quick photos Mark and I took as we bid farewell to Milwaukee ourselves. We needed to return to the Pabst Mansion to tie up a minor loose end, so took the opportunity to photograph a professional car in front of the mansion. Notice the meet sign board visible through the rear side window. The car is packed and ready to head home!

Some of you may remember that my first choice for a meet hotel went out of business last November necessitating the move to the Crowne Plaza. Well last week while we were enjoying our meet, demolition of the former Wyndham began. Mark and I both thought that this second photo could be captioned simply "Our First Meet Hotel".

Scott AndersonScott, I am planning to be in Rochester but bringing a different car. (I like to keep them in rotation, and the Ambulet is originally from Minnesota so it seems fitting.) But bring your ambulance, we'll photograph it, maybe even Photoshop it in with the others! ;)

This is for Mr McPherson

Last month Tom gave me an original Eureka staff tee-shirt from the early 1980's. Of course it didn't fit me ( I guess men were a lot smaller back then ??) lol anyways so I had two reproduced with the exact same lettering as the original and added the Eureka Logo on the back. Marjorie and I wore them with pride on saturday during the Milwaukee Masterpiece Club Day.

I was hoping the Milwaukee F.D.'s 1947 S&S and Bell Ambulance's 1938 Eureka/Buick ambulances would be on display. Even though they weren't, this one was worth the trip:

Didn't realize until seeing this Consort on the trailer for home Sunday morning that it is almost certainly the one formerly owned by McMahan's F.H. just up the road in Rutherfordton, NC, where Kent Dorsey worked for many years. She's obviously been outside most of the time since, but having been garaged during original ownership she has good bones!

Is/was their entire fleet this color?

Literally a permanent reminder of the fact that we visited Milwaukee in 2013. The monument dedication took place on August 18th, just two days before the meet began, allowing the Friday tour participants to see it for themselves.

In case you didn't see it... look at the 4th last name on the list of donors plaque.

Patrick made a donation in the name of... not his name, not the chapters name... but on behalf of the entire Professional Car Society !!!

That way it will be there forever on that marker and will be a remembrance that the first WI PCS meet was held in 2013.

WAY TO GO on behalf of Patrick for that, just one of many, incredible things he did that made his PCS meet extra special.

The PCS name on that plaque is awesome. Christie told me about it (she went on the tour while stayed at the hotel), I misunderstood her, I thought it was a sign the cemetery had welcoming us like the hotels do, not forever carved in stone (so to speak).
Thank you Patrick for immortalizing this great organization!!!!

As you all know, one of the main reasons the PCS was founded in the first place back in 1976 was to foster an interest in and acceptance of vintage funeral vehicles and ambulances within the wider old car hobby through a staunch advocacy of authentically-restored and preserved cars that properly honor the rich, altrustic history of the funeral and EMS professions. Our participation in the 2013 Milwaukee Masterpiece Concours was, by any measure, an important milestone in our fulfillment of this almost 40-year-old ambition, judging by how our participation was richly rewarded with FOUR awards over the weekend ...

In addition to Alliance, Ohio funeral director Daniel Skivolocke winning Best-of-Show on "Club Saturday" with his thoroughly magnificent, newly-restored 1959 Sayers & Scovill Cadillac 3-way loading Victoria landau hearse, the main, invitation-only portion of the Concours on Sunday, August 25th saw William C. Peoples' 1927 Henney "Landau Back" Hearse/Ambulance Combination Coach from Marietta, Ohio awarded First Place in Class 1800 Professional Vehicles.:applause: The Milwaukee Fire Museum's 1947 S&S Cadillac ambulance received an Award of Excellence in Class 1800 as well :applause:, while Stacy, Minnesota PCS member Larry Dunn - whose Minneapolis livery service hosted a memorable "drive-through" open house during the 1996 PCS International Meet - also received First Place in Class 2500 (Classic Style: American Closed) for his stately 1933 Cadillac V12 Series 370C Seven Passenger Sedan. :applause:
