haven't been to Bakersfield in a long time but I'm hoping it doesn't have a 429 in it. if it was a low top I might be persuaded to go. but i don't want to wash another high top. wonder if he would take a stoner in trade for it.

64 CC's had the 429 mated to the Hydra-Matic tranny. Good motor, just have to keep the oil clean, and not run it low.

I think that's the car that's been for sale for quite a few years on CL. We've even see it posted here a couple times. Can't imagine there are many other similar '64 white/orange M-M ambulances in Bakersfield. The price had been about double that originally, and the old photos were showing it under a shed. Glad to see they finally got the price down to something realistic and hopefully got the car to a new home.

Adam, I looked at this one last June and had planned to have a friend that was going out to CA to stop by and look at it but things changed and he wasn't able to do that for me. I spoke to the owner once and asked about the inside, he stated that it had some leaks and the front floorpan was rotted out pretty badly so I decided to pass..he was asking $5500 I think...he NEVER did send any pics of the interior btw..This unit belonged to the Long Beach Ambulance Service originally, if I remember the conversation correctly, he's the 3rd owner. I called a few more times but he never returned my calls...
